Passport Information

Steps to apply for a passport:

1. Have the necessary documentation

 Proof of citizenship (ex. birth certificate)

 Proof of identity (ex. Driver’s license, current government or military ID, etc. The items should have your photo and signature

 If you do not have the forms of ID mentioned above, you need a “secondary ID.” (ex. Social Security card, credit card, library card) You will also need a witness with their own sufficient forms of ID

2. Get a passport photo

3. Fill out the appropriate form

4. Prepare fee (money will usually be accepted in forms of cash, checks, credit cards, and sometimes personal checks)

5. Apply well in advance of your travel date (routine time takes 4-5 weeks)!
