Interfaith Dialogue

Saint Mary’s College, a pioneer in the education of women, is committed to preparing women for leadership in the areas of work, church, and community. The pedagogical innovation at the heart of the Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership's program fosters a number of areas as laboratories that have the potential to influence a model of intercultural collaboration. This is particularly true in the efforts for cross-cultural understanding between faith traditions. Such projects offer the opportunity to weave together various groups such as local businesses, social service agencies, religious communities and education centers/colleges. These activities help to form leaders who are agents of change in a multicultural world because they seek to understand faith, culture and community as a basis of action and leadership. They become bridge builders within and among communities.

Living as Women of Faith is an interfaith dialogue between religious and academic communities. It is hoped that by opening the doors of dialogue, women can be united in common projects for greater education and development in today's society.  As Women of Faith we pledge ourselves to:

  • The dialogue of life
  • The dialogue of spirituality
  • The dialogue of concrete action for justice
