The Catalyst Trip has been a dynamic experiential learning opportunity to explore women as leaders of social change. Looking for a transformative intercultural experience? Interested in learning about local intercultural history? Wondering how to become a catalyst for social justice?


Catalyst Weekend Trip  - October 25-27, 2013

"Quest for Understanding"

A transformative intercultural experience

Learn how local historical leaders found creative ways to promote justice

Work with community women, Saint Mary's faculty, and students

Travel to Cincinnati Ohio to visit: National Underground Railroad Freedom Center,
 home of John Rankin, a Quaker who was an abolitionist, and the
home of John Parker, an African American who was an abolitionist

Integrate the experience with group activities and discussions

Formulate an action plan for women to become a catalyst for social change




BEGINS: Saint Mary's College, Friday, October 25th at 5:00 pm

TRAVEL: Cincinnati, Ohio

ENDS: Saint Mary's College, Sunday, October 27 at 8:00 pm
